Francis Olawale is a Governance, Compliance and Business development practitioner. He is a trained Accountant, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He has a strong passion for quality Leadership, Governance, Administration, Strategy, Risk Management, Business process improvement and Business management. He trains locally and internationally in different functional areas of business operations including: Finance, Governance, Risk Management, Sales, Customer service, Strategy, Fraud prevention etc.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries Administrators Nigeria & UK where he currently serves as the Honorary Treasurer. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Directors (IoD), Fellow of the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals (AERMP) and a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN). He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria (CIS), a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments United Kingdom (CISI), Institute of Arbitrators UK and Nigeria. He is a member of the Society for Corporate Governance of Nigeria (SCGN). He is an ILO (International Labour Organization) Trainer. He is an ISO 9001:2015 certified lead Auditor & Consultant. He is also an IFC (International Finance Corporation) trained and certified Corporate Governance practitioner; Corporate Governance and Board Evaluator. He is an Authorized Dealing Clerk (ADC) of the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX). He holds a B.sc in Accounting and M.sc in Finance and Management.
He trained and practiced as an auditor before venturing into secretarial practice.He trained in two different audit firms and then proceeded to work in the Banking sector, Real estate sector, Haulage and Transportation sectors in Managerial and Secretarial capacities He was the Partner – Strategy & Business Development of Ark Professional services (A consortium of firms in Legal practice, Accounting and Secretarial practice). He has worked with several premium Boards in the areas of Board induction & Training, Board Evaluation and as an independent Governance Consultant. He has consulted for Cardinal Stone Partners, Cardinal Stone Finance, NCR PLC, NNF PLC, Keystone Bank Limited, LSPDC, Kaduna State Government, Manufacturing Association of Nigeria etc. at the home front and at the International level he was instrumental in bringing into Nigeria Asian health care giants CNI with origin in Malaysia; and American Marketing Technology giants Intent.INC USA etc.
He currently serves on the Board of Knights Recovery Limited, Cristen & Carsten Limited, F&C Realties & Investment Ltd. DCMS Limited where he serves as the Chair of Finance, Risk and Investment committee etc. He is a trainer and regularly facilitates for various organizations locally and internationally such as ICSAN, CSIA, NIMN, NGX, FITC, SEC, He currently lectures Corporate Governance and Corporate Administration for ICSAN. He has in the past also lectured Banking Ethics and Corporate Governance at the Centre for Law & Business; and Strategic Management & Integrated marketing for the NIMN. He also serves on the Audit Committee of the Chartered Institute of Directors(C,IoD) and the Audit Committee of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (C.I.S). He served as the Chairman of E-learning Committee of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria
Francis is an author, he has co-authored books in the area of Governance and Secretarial practice such as: Nature and Procedure of Meetings and Minutes, A guide to Board Evaluation and Corporate Governance Audit, Governance – Public, Private and Not for Profit organizations. He has authored articles in several journals. He is the editor in chief of the “The Governance Professional” Magazine, the Journal of Corporate Governance and the Journal of Corporate Governance and Administration.
He is the Founding Partner of Franks Management Consulting International - a Management Consulting firm involved in Financial Advisory, Process Engineering, Business Development, Strategy Formulation and Implementation; training services. He is also the Founding Partner, Frank Olawale & Associates (Chartered Accountants). He is the Managing Partner, Franks Nominees- a Governance, Compliance and Business Support firm registered in Nigeria and Ghana.
