Dear Esteemed Member,

We are in the process of publishing a new edition of the “Journal of Corporate Governance and Administration” 

As the name suggests, the Journal focuses thematically on the areas of Corporate Governance, Administration, Law, Corporate Secretarial Practice, Management, Management and Tax Administration.

We are using this medium to request for articles for the next edition of the Journal from Members of the Institute who are knowledgeable and experienced in the aforesaid thematic areas.

The Journal will be widely circulated in academic and professional circles and also sent to the Government Parastatals, Chief Executives, Company Secretaries, professionals  with administrative responsibility in the Private and Public Sectors as well as to the libraries of all reputable tertiary Institutions in the country and abroad.

The deadline for submission of articles for the Journal December 31st, 2023.

Please find the attached document as the “Rules for writers” to guide contributors on what is expected regarding the sought articles.

Productions and publications of the Institute’s communication/ stakeholders relationship management tools, including but not limited to, the ICSAN Newsletter, the monthly ICSAN News magazine and the biannual Chartered Secretary magazine.

Conducting research on the developments on Corporate Governance discipline

Conducting research on the developments on Corporate Governance discipline as well as Chartered Secretaryship profession to keep abreast of happenings and to advocate standards of global best practices.

Make findings on professional development-related issues

Journal of Corporate Governance and Administration

The Journal of Corporate and Administration”debuted in 2018 and the second edition has come out in 2019. The journal is the first Journal of its kind in Nigeria that explores critical issues on both Corporate Governance and Administration at such scholarly level. The journal is purely a scholastic resource with focus on front burner issues on Corporate Governance, Corporate Administration Secretarial practice, Tax Management, Financial Management, Compliance etc.  The journal contains scholarly articles for knowledge seekers, researchers in areas in the aforementioned areas but also addresses trending and emerging issues. It has wider reach and appeal.

The contributors to the Journal are top notch, experienced professionals and academics with proven track records in their fields while our Peer Reviewers are seasoned scholars in some of the best universities in Nigeria. The Journal is currently available in hard copy but will soon be going electronic to enlarge the reach. Currently we reach out to ICSAN members, Company Secretaries and Directors, tertiary Institutions nationwide and top libraries.


. Company Secretary Handbook

The ICSAN Company Secretary Handbook which debuted in 2019 is a practitioners’ guide as it addresses the needs of practitioners and serve as a reference point for areas of interest for both old and new governance practitioners. It is useful for Company Secretaries, Directors and everyone operating in the governance space as it provides guides on various areas of governance practice;  It is a capacity-building tool. Our Authors are carefully selected veterans in governance practice. The first edition was entitled “Meetings and Minutes” and it explored A-Z of corporate meetings as well as giving deep insight into the art of minutes writing. It is a practitioners’ compendium and many stakeholders are eagerly looking forward to the next edition.

 Chartered Secretary and Administrator magazine

The “Chartered Secretary and Administrator” is a quality glossy magazine which the Institute has published over the years. It showcases the Institute’s events for the period under focus, featuring news, stories, photo splash, jokes and recently a section for promoting and showcasing Secretarial firms. 

The “Flagship” magazine

The Flagship magazine is a bi-annual publication of the Lagos State Chapter of the Institute. It is a very popular publication well-loved in corporate circle at features trendy themes on effective Business Management and Corporate Governance. Of course, the magazine also purveys news, photographs of recent events about the Chapter and the Institute in general. Both Members and non-Members alike as well students of governance have confessed their stout interest in the educative and enlightening magazine. The next edition is due for middle of 2020.
