Mrs. Abiola Laseinde FCIS.
Abiola is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Edniesal Consulting Limited, a dynamic firm offering unique corporate services to clients. She is also the Founder/Convener of the CIO Club Africa and the CIO Awards. She is a lawyer, Chartered Secretary and a Governance Professional with over 20 years’ experience garnered from different industries in Nigeria, with a stint in Dubai, UAE.
She is a certified IFC Corporate Governance Trainer and a member of the UK Institute of Leadership and Management. She was the Group Company Secretary/Head of Corporate Services of PZ Cussons Africa where she had responsibilities for the Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana Corporate Services Units of the Company. She was also a Director/Executive Secretary of PZ Cussons Foundation. Previously, she was the Legal Counsel, West Africa/Deputy Company Secretary of Cadbury Nigeria Plc and Cadbury Ghana (members of the Mondelēz Group of Companies).
Abiola is a Fellow and a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and currently serves as the Chair of the Corporate Members & Training Committee of ICSAN. She is a past Chair of the Lagos State Chapter of the Institute. She is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), Nigerian Branch, the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA).
She is the Immediate Past President of Caring Sisters Inc, an NGO for the empowerment of women and children and equally serves as a non-Executive Director on the Board of the Strap & Safe Child Foundation, an NGO promoting the safety of children on the road, school and at home. She is a member of the Association of Sustainability Professionals of Nigeria and serves with the Legal Directorate Committee of the association. For Abiola, ICSAN is a professional qualification that has given her invaluable leverage in advancing her career post-qualification. She is therefore passionate about giving back to the Institute and has served different committees with varying functions and deliverables. She has consistently demonstrated ownership and exceptional performance on assignments including the following:

Over the years, Abiola has facilitated corporate sponsorships for various programmes of the Instituting include the Companies Secretary & Registrars Forum, National Conference, Public Lectures, Roundtable on Corporate Governance etc.
She has used her resources and influence to attract support and sponsorship for the Institute’s programmes.
As a resource person with the Training Unit, she has been involved in various training and experience sharing sessions and mentoring of student-members. Under her leadership, the Corporate Members & Training Committee has been running the Graduate Internship Scheme successfully since its inception. She has also successfully organised the Company Secretaries & Registrars Forum since the forum was revived in 2018.
For the Governing Council, Abiola has been actively involved in developing and promoting the professional ideals, standards, ethics, code of conduct and interests of the Institute. During Council debates, she has been spotted as a thought leader with a penchant for adding fresh perspective to issues while leveraging the dynamics of disruptive thinking and innovation. Abiola has delivered over 60 presentations in 4 countries in the last 10 years on a range of topics including Strategic Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Future of Work, Enterprise Governance, Corporate Secretaryship, Risk Management, Compliance, Stakeholders Management, Sustainability and CSR.
