Francis Olawale is a Governance, Compliance, Tax, Investment and Business development practitioner. He is a trained Accountant. He is an Authorized Dealing Clerk of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd. He is people oriented and he is result oriented. He has a strong passion for quality Leadership, Good Governance, Effective Administration, Strategy, Risk Management, Business process improvement and profitable Business Management. He is a trainer. He trains locally and internationally in different functional areas of business operations including: Finance, Governance, Sales, Customer service, Strategy, Fraud prevention etc..

He is a member of the Institute of Directors, Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments United Kingdom, Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria, the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria and Institute of Arbitrators UK and Nigeria. He is a member of the Society for Corporate Governance of Nigeria. He is an ILO (International Labour Organization) Trainer. He is an ISO 9001:2015 certified lead Auditor & Consultant. He is also an IFC (International Finance Corporation) trained and certified Corporate Governance practitioner; Corporate Governance and Board Evaluator.

He has enjoyed a career of over two decades spanning from Banking to Investment Advisory, Real Estates, Logistics & Haulage and Transportation; functioning in roles ranging from Executive Trainee level to Managerial Cadre. He was the Managing Partner (Strategy & Business development) of Ark Professional services (A consortium of firms in Legal practice, Accounting and Secretarial practice) before forming his current firms. He has worked with several premium Boards in the areas of Board induction & Training, Board Evaluation and as an independent Governance Consultant

He currently serves on the Board of Knights Recovery Limited, Cristen & Carsten Limited, F&G realties Ltd. DCMS Limited (where he chairs the Finance, Investment & Risk Management Committee etc.). He currently lectures Corporate Governance, Corporate Administration and Corporate Financial Management for ICSAN on various platforms. He has in the past also lectured Banking Ethics and Corporate Governance at the Centre for Law & Business; and Strategic Management & Integrated marketing for NIMN.  He loves voluntary services. He currently serves as the Honorary Treasurer of ICSAN and Pioneer Chairman of the Publications Committee of the Institute, he also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Finance & General purpose Committee of the Institute; member Corporate Governance capacity Committee of the Institute.

He also serves on the Audit Committee of the Institute of Directors (IoD) and the Audit Committee of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS). He is the Chairman of E-learning Committee of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN). He has in the past served on the pioneer Remuneration committee of the ICSAN, Publicity Committee, Round table on Corporate Governance, Nominations committee as a member of the team that executed the first e-voting platform of the Institute; Visitations Committee, Membership and Branch liaison Committee, pioneer Implementation and Performance Monitoring Committee of the council. He is the immediate Past Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Institute and has in the past served as Chairman, Conference & programs planning committee of the chapter as well as honorary treasurer and mobilization secretary at various times.

He has continually deployed his expertise and network to contribute to the progress of ICSAN at Student, Chapter and National levels. He drafted the Institute’s Remuneration policy, Extra- budgetary policy and investment policy before adoption by Council. He was a member of the team that successfully deployed the e-voting platform to foster nationwide participation in electoral process by members. He has facilitated enrichment of ICSAN publications to continually enhance members’ capacity, in this light; he started the Journal of Corporate Governance and Administration, ICSAN Company Secretary Handbook, ICSAN Student’s E-newsletter, ICSAN Guidance note, ICSAN Communiques series.

Through his advice, the Finances of ICSAN have improved greatly as a result of efficient Investment Management. At chapter level, he deployed Membership Management Software, on line real time payment platform and Chapter’s website; He facilitated the conversion of the Chapter’s accounts to IFRS compliant format. He started the ‘Lagos Chapter Prize” for the best student in Corporate Governance in Lagos State. He has personally sponsored students and young members for fee paying events of the Institute.

 He is the founding partner of Franks Management Consulting International – a Management Consulting  firm involved in Financial Advisory, Process Engineering, Business Development, Strategy Formulation and Implementation; training services. He is also the Principal, Franks Nominees- a Governance, Compliance and Business Support firm registered in Nigeria and Ghana.
