Mr. Augustine C. Achugwo holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) both from Bayero University, Kano (BUK). He is Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) London as well as the Fellow of Nigerian Institute (ICSAN). He is also an Associate of Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA) and the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM). He is an International Finance Corporation (IFC) certified trainer of trainers in Corporate Governance.  He also holds a certification in Entrepreneurship moderated by SMC University, Switzerland.

He has vast experience in the international transport (shipping/ maritime, airfreight) industry having worked for many years with SDV Nigeria (now known as Bollore Africa Logistics), part of a global transport and logistics conglomerate with headquarters in France.  While in SDV he at various times held sensitive senior positions such as International Transit Manager, Branch Manager, Kano, Area Manager, North, Freight Forwarding Manager, Lagos Ports and Operations Manager, Delta Ports. While at these duties his work routines exposed him to various high level interactions with organizations in different sectors of the economy such as oil and gas, manufacturing, trade, services, conglomerates as well as embassies, whom he related with as clients; Federal Ministries, State Governments, Customs, Nigerian Ports Authority, Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Nigerian Shippers Council, Nigerian Maritime Authority as well as other governmental agencies connected with ports and international trade operations.   

He successfully coordinated a number of tasking operations including movement of goods in transit through Nigeria to landlocked neighbouring countries like Chad and Niger Republics by road, Freighting of sensitive materials for Turnaround Maintenance (TAM) of NNPC refineries, etc.

He at different times represented his company in some associations and groups such as Kano-Jigawa Shippers Association, Northern Shippers Association as well as Shipping Trade Group of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). He also facilitated at Seminars and Workshops on import and export procedures organized for shippers in states like Kaduna, Katsina and Kano under the auspices of Nigerian Shippers Council.

He voluntarily left the services of SDV Nigeria in 2005 to set up his own business.
